On-A-Roll came about as a result of asking a simple question. Where can I go to get a great hot dog? I have asked myself that question for many years and in many locations. This year, 2009, I decided to quit talking about opening a "hot dog place with great hot dogs" and set out to open On-A-Roll. Ask yourself that question and hopefully you will respond with "on-a-roll!" Our goals are very simple. Quality food with Quality service in a clean environment. To us Quality food means premium hot dogs served at the right temperature with quality condiments. Quality service means taking the time to understand exactly how you would like your hot dog - what kind of hot dog and with quality condiments applied the way you would like them - all in a timely fashion. A clean environment means, condiments, cutlery, packaging and building being clean and sanitary as possible. Since we opened, many people have stepped forward to share with us how they dress their hot dogs, or how hot dogs are dressed from where they used to live or where they grew up. One thing has been very consistent, everyone has a notion as to the way a hot dog should be dressed. As we say here, "how you dress your hot dog is very personal".
